Everything You Should Know About The New Peugeot Landtrek

Peugeot is well-known for creating bakkies which can easily glide over rough and tough terrain. Now, they are returning with the all new Landtrek. Vehicle specifications include a 1.9-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel motor which is capable of 110 kW and 350 Nm of torque.

The Peugeot Landtrek offers eye-catching elements on both the interior and exterior and it’s offroad performance is exceptional. This is a great car for those needing a larger and more rugged vehicle used mainly for practicality.

The Landtrek is quite large in size, which is why Peugeot have included assistance systems such as front and rear park assist and a reverse camera. The vehicle can accommodate 5 occupants and bares a large load bay, perfect for transportation of various goods. This specific model contains six airbags and loads of safety and assistance systems to keep occupants safe, therefore making the Peugeot Landtrek a great family vehicle.

The interior mimics that of the other Peugeot modes, however, more hard plastics have been incorporated into the cabin of the Landtrek. Other features include front and rear electric windows, front and rear USB ports, cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system installed with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The front of the Landtrek reveals a large grille with the signature Lion badge. This is surrounded by large, wraparound headlights which include vertical daytime running lights, a signature of all Peugeot models. The rear looks similar to most other bakkies in this category, however, it is set apart with a large Lion logo.

The Landtrek hosts a multitude of technical features, some of which include 10GB of internal storage, stability and traction control, hill descent and hill assist control as well as trailer-sway control. It is perfect for those 4×4 adventures as well as being a great family car for long road trips.

The entry trim Landtrek 1.9TD double cab Allure is the cheapest model available, with pricing starting from R 579 900. The Peugeot Landtrek also comes as a 1.9TD double cab 4Action 4×4, which is slightly more expensive than the entry level model, with pricing starting from R669 900.
